Terms of Service
The rules for using image2img, including free images, paid plans and credits, refunds, your photos and what you may create.
Last updated Oct 27, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of image2img.net (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
image2img.net is operated by an individual based in Hong Kong SAR ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@image2img.net.
The Service
image2img lets you upload a photo, describe a change or pick a look, and get a new image made by AI. You can keep editing the result and download any version. Features can change over time.
Who can use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old. If you live somewhere that sets a higher age for consent to online services (for example 16 in some EU countries), you must be at least that old, or have a parent or guardian agree to these Terms for you. If you are buying a plan, you must also be old enough to make a binding contract where you live. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use the Service. If you think a child has used it, tell us and we will act.
Free images and limits
Everyone gets a day without an account and a day with one. The count resets at 00:00 UTC. We may change the limits, pause free generation when demand is very high, or limit use from a network or device to keep the Service fair. A request that fails or is blocked by our safety check does not use up a free image.
Paid plans and credits
You can buy credits in two ways: a monthly credit subscription (Basic or Pro, billed monthly or yearly), or a one-time credit pack. Current plans, credit amounts and prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout.
- What a credit buys. One standard image (1K) costs 1 credit. One high-resolution image (2K) costs 2 credits. 2K images can only be made with credits.
- Free images come first. Your free images for the day are used first. Credits are only used after they run out.
- No charge for failures. If a generation fails or is blocked by our safety check, no credits are used.
- Subscription credits expire. Credits from a subscription expire at the end of the period they were given for and do not carry over to the next one. A yearly plan gives all 12 months of credits at once, and they expire at the end of the year.
- Credit pack credits expire. Credits from a pack are valid for 12 months after you buy them.
- Credits are not money. They cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to another account, and they have no cash value.
- Same rules apply. Images made with credits follow the same rules as free ones, including the Content Policy.
Billing, renewal and cancellation
- Who sells to you. Purchases are made on a checkout page hosted by our payment partner, today Stripe or Creem. The partner acts as the merchant of record: it sells the purchase to you, collects and pays any tax, and its own terms also apply. With Stripe, the purchase is "sold through Link" and your statement shows LINK.COM. The checkout page shows which partner applies. We do not store your full card number.
- Prices and taxes. Prices are set in US dollars and include any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies. The checkout page may show the price in your local currency, and it always shows the final amount before you pay.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically every month or year until you cancel. You allow us and our payment processor to charge your payment method on each renewal.
- Cancel any time on the Billing page in your account settings, or with the payment partner (for Stripe purchases, at link.com). After you cancel, you can keep using the plan until the end of the period you already paid for, and it will not renew.
- Price and plan changes. We may change prices, plans or credit amounts. We will tell you ahead of time, and a change does not affect a period you have already paid for. If you do not want the new price, cancel before the next renewal.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may pause or end the subscription.
Refunds
- Within 7 days. If you ask within 7 days of buying, and you have used less than 10% of the credits from that purchase, we will give you a full refund. Email support@image2img.net with the email address you used to buy.
- After a refund, any credits left from that purchase are taken back.
- Other cases. We do not give refunds in other cases, for example for expired credits, a subscription you forgot to cancel, or results you did not like. This does not affect any refund rights you have under mandatory law.
- Refunds by our payment partner. The merchant of record may also refund a purchase under its own policies or the consumer law that applies to you, for example a cooling-off period. Any credits left from a refunded purchase are taken back in the same way.
Accounts
You do not need an account to make images. If you create one, give accurate information and keep your login details safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You may keep only one account for yourself and may not share it or sell it. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Your photos and your results
- You keep your rights. You keep whatever rights you have in the photos you upload. As between you and us, you may use the results for any purpose, including commercial use, as long as you had the right to use the original photo and your use follows the law and these Terms.
- You need permission. Only upload photos you own or have permission to use. If a photo shows other people, make sure you are allowed to share it.
- Permission for us. You allow us, and the AI providers that work for us, to process your photos and prompts only to make your result and to run the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Photos sent to our AI provider are kept by the provider for up to 72 hours.
- How long we keep things. Images are deleted automatically after without an account, or with an account. Images made while you have an active paid subscription are kept for as long as the subscription is active, then deleted after . You can delete them yourself earlier in My Creations. Download anything you want to keep.
Our rights
The Service, its design, name, logo and code belong to us or our licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to them, except the right to use the Service as described here. Your results are yours to use, as set out above. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
What you may not do
Follow our Content Policy. In short, do not use the Service to create or process:
- adult or sexual content;
- photos of minors;
- face swaps or fake images of real, well-known people, or any content meant to deceive or harass someone;
- graphic violence;
- anything that breaks the law or other people's rights.
You also may not: try to get around the daily limit, credit rules or our safety checks, use bots or scripts against the Service, probe or attack our systems, resell access to the Service, or use it to train competing models.
We may refuse a request, remove content, or suspend access when these Terms or the Content Policy are broken.
AI results
Results are generated by AI and can be wrong, odd or different from what you expected. The same photo and prompt can give different results each time, and your result may look similar to results other people get. We do not promise that a result is accurate, unique or fit for a particular purpose. We also cannot promise that a result is free of other people's rights, or that copyright law in your country will protect it, because the law on AI-made images is still unclear in many places. Check results before you rely on them or publish them. You are responsible for how you use them.
The Service as it is
The Service and its results are provided "as is" and "as available", without promises of any kind, whether express or implied, including promises of quality, accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or that nothing will be infringed. We do not promise that the Service will always be available, error-free, secure or uninterrupted, or that it will meet your needs. Some rights you have under mandatory law cannot be waived, and nothing here takes them away.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, even if we were told they might happen. Our total liability for all claims together is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the previous 12 months and US$100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
If you break these Terms (indemnity)
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover us against claims, losses and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) from third parties that arise from the photos and prompts you submit, how you use your results, or your breach of these Terms, the Content Policy or the law. This does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by our own fraud or wilful misconduct.
Copyright and other complaints
We respect other people's rights. If you believe something on the Service infringes your copyright, email support@image2img.net with:
- your name and contact details;
- a description of the work you say was copied, and where you say it is shown (a link or the creation details);
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not allowed by you, your agent or the law;
- a statement that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or are allowed to act for the owner; and
- your signature (a typed name is fine).
We may remove the content and tell the person who made it. If you think content was removed by mistake, email us with an explanation and we will look again. We may end access for people who repeatedly infringe. Knowingly sending a false notice can have legal consequences. For other kinds of problems, such as content that breaks our Content Policy, use the same address.
Suspending or ending access
You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings. We can suspend or end your access, remove content or refuse a request if you break these Terms or the Content Policy, if the law requires it, if we reasonably suspect fraud or abuse, or if a payment fails. Where we can, we will tell you why. If we end your access because you broke these Terms, you may lose any credits you have left and we do not have to give a refund, except where the law says otherwise. Ending access does not cancel what you already owe. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as ownership, liability, indemnity and governing law, still apply afterwards.
Changes to the Service
We may change, add or remove features, limits, plans and models, or stop the Service altogether. We will try to give notice of changes that matter, and a change does not affect a period you have already paid for. If we stop the Service completely, we will refund the part of any prepaid subscription or credits that you have not used.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, including prices and plans. We will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will tell logged-in users ahead of time. Using the Service after a change means you accept the new Terms.
Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by something outside our reasonable control, such as an outage at a hosting, network, payment or AI provider, a power or internet failure, a cyberattack, a natural disaster, war, strike or a government order. This does not excuse a refund that is already due.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute about these Terms or the Service will be heard by the courts of Hong Kong, unless mandatory law where you live gives you the right to go to another court.
General
- Whole agreement. These Terms, the Content Policy, the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy are the full agreement between you and us about the Service.
- If part is invalid. If a part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- Transfers. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours, for example if the Service is sold or handed to another operator.
- Notices. We may contact you at the email address on your account or on the site. You can reach us at the address below.
- Language. These Terms are in English. If they are translated, the English version wins if there is a conflict.
